This historic home restoration in Wayne, PA was a complete exterior transformation with Warren Claytor Architects and Latta Kennedy Exteriors blending structural integrity with timeless beauty. Our team preserved the architectural character dating back to 1901, while enhancing durability and functionality through extensive restoration work.
The process began with structural masonry repairs and a new steel-supported foundation to ensure long-term stability while showcasing intricate stonework and classic design. We carefully demoed and rebuilt the front arch, cataloging specific stones for reuse. All stone walls and steps were reconstructed, and the front and side patios were renovated to create a refreshed outdoor space perfect for entertaining and relaxation.
To honor the property’s heritage, cedar trees from the site were milled into stunning new porch ceilings, adding warmth and authenticity. Every detail reflects precision and quality, from custom Marvin storm windows for improved energy efficiency, to replacing damaged cedar shake siding, and restored tutoring at all gable ends along with new cornice trim, highlighting the home’s historic architecture.
This restoration is a true showcase of craftsmanship, premium materials, and trusted expertise bringing new life to a home while preserving its historic charm!
